DataBull Self-hosted License Terms

License Terms

Last updated 24 October 2026

In short

  • One license = one production install, for you or your company, on Cloudflare accounts you control.
  • Unlimited websites and events. Every future update of DataBull Self-hosted, free.
  • Don't share, resell or redistribute the bundle or your key, and don't turn it into a competing hosted service.
  • Your data lives in your Cloudflare account and is yours. Cloudflare's charges, if any, are yours too.
  • All sales are final.

These terms are an agreement between you and DataBull ("we", "us") for DataBull Self-hosted (the "Software"): the release bundles you download with the databull installer, their updates, and the license key that unlocks them. By buying a license, installing or using the Software, you accept these terms. If you're accepting for a company, you confirm you're allowed to bind it.

1. Your license

When you pay, we grant you a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Software, under these terms:

  • One production installation per license, for one person or one company (including its employees and contractors working for it).
  • Installed on Cloudflare accounts you or your company control.
  • Unlimited websites, events and team members on that installation, including websites you run for your clients.
  • Each key has a few activations so you can reinstall, move accounts or keep a short-lived test copy. They aren't extra production licenses.

2. Updates

Your license includes every future update of the DataBull Self-hosted product line, for as long as we publish it, at no extra cost. Updates are covered by these terms. We decide what goes into the product and when; a hosted version, if we launch one, is a separate service and not part of this license.

3. What you may not do

  • Share, publish, sell, rent, sublicense or otherwise redistribute the Software, the release bundles or your license key, or let anyone outside your company use your key.
  • Use the Software, or anything derived from it, to offer a hosted or managed analytics service to third parties that competes with DataBull.
  • Remove or work around the license check, or reverse engineer the Software except where the law allows it regardless of this restriction.
  • Use the Software for anything unlawful, including tracking people in breach of the privacy laws that apply to your websites.

4. Ownership

We own the Software and all intellectual property in it. You're buying a license to use it, not the Software itself. Parts of the dashboard are based on open-source code used under its license (MIT); those parts stay under their own licenses.

5. Your data

The Software runs in your Cloudflare account. Everything it collects (visits, events, payments, settings, the keys you connect for Stripe, Polar, Dodo Payments or Telegram) is stored there, not with us. It's your data and your responsibility: you're the controller for it, you decide what you collect and how long you keep it, and you're responsible for having the notices and consents your visitors' laws require, and for backups. We can't see, recover or delete it for you. The installed Software only contacts databull.app to check your license and look for updates (see the Privacy Policy).

6. Cloudflare and other services

You need your own Cloudflare account, and you accept Cloudflare's terms for it. Any charges from Cloudflare (for example the Workers Paid plan) are yours. The same goes for payment providers and other services you connect. We're not responsible for those services, their availability, their limits or changes they make.

7. Payment, delivery and refunds

Licenses are sold by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, which handles the payment, tax and your receipt. The price you pay is the price shown at checkout. Your license key is delivered immediately after payment, on screen and by email. All sales are final; see the Refund Policy. If you're in the EU or UK, you agree at checkout that delivery starts immediately and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once it does.

8. No warranty

The Software is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of the numbers it shows, and non-infringement. We don't promise it will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that it will work with every website, payment provider or Cloudflare setting. Analytics are estimates: ad blockers, privacy settings and networks mean no tool sees every visit.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, however caused. Our total liability for any claim connected with the Software or these terms is limited to the amount you paid for your license. Some laws don't allow these limits; where that's the case, they apply as far as the law permits.

10. Termination

Your license lasts forever unless you break these terms. If you do, we may end it, and deactivate your key, by telling you at the email you bought with. When it ends you must stop using the Software and delete it. Sections 4, 5, 8, 9 and 12 survive.

11. Changes

We may update these terms, for example for new features or new laws. The version on this page, with its date, applies to updates you install after that date. We won't take away the license you bought (one production install, lifetime updates) by changing them.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India have exclusive jurisdiction, except that you keep any protection the consumer laws of your own country give you.

13. Contact
