# DataBull Hosted

An **event** is a pageview, a goal or an outbound-link click, across all your websites. Heartbeats, identify calls and payments don't count. Usage resets on the first day of each month (UTC). [Start here](https://databull.app/hosted).

## Getting started

1. On [databull.app/hosted](https://databull.app/hosted), pick a plan and your address, like `yourapp.databull.app`, and pay.
2. Your dashboard is set up automatically, and a minute or two later the setup link arrives at the address you paid with. Open it and create your account.
3. Add your website and paste one script tag; connect Stripe, Polar, Dodo Payments or Creem. The [Getting started](https://databull.app/docs) guide covers each step.

## Going over your plan

Nothing breaks and no data is lost: tracking continues. **Settings → Plan** shows this month's events against your plan. From 80% you'll see a banner, and if you've connected [Telegram](https://databull.app/docs/alerts) you get a message at 80% and at 100%. If you're over most months, we'll ask you to move up a plan.

## Changing plan, invoices and cancelling

Use the [billing page](https://customer.dodopayments.com/login/bus_0NbyqEupk4YXd20QAxw3P) (sign in with the email you paid with), also linked from **Settings → Plan**. Changed plan? Your new event allowance applies within a minute or two. You can cancel anytime: the subscription stops at the end of the month you've paid for, and the current month isn't refunded.

## Your data

- Your dashboard has a database of its own on our Cloudflare account; no other customer's dashboard can read it.
- We use your data only to run your dashboard, never sell or share it, and look at it only when you ask (for support) or the law requires it.
- After your subscription ends, tracking and the dashboard pause and we keep your data for 30 days. Come back in that time and everything is as you left it, or ask for an export. Then it's deleted.
