Loved by indie makers

Real posts from people running DataBull. Nobody was paid for these.

Shimecki@scheemunai

I just deployed several of my websites on DataBull, and so far I'm IMPRESSED!

I tried Datafast from @marclou a month ago, but it wouldn't scale well with traffic + I wanted to own my data. Never converted from trial.

I'm not affiliated at all with @ahmedgagan11 , I just think he created a REALLY good product and nailed the offer: lifetime license + self-hosted.

Thanks, @ahmedgagan11, for building DataBull!

Just bought a lifetime deal for Databull.app for $29. 🎉

Excited to implement it at @noonlaunch

We've needed something like this for a long time to track our revenue and understand exactly where it's coming from. 🚀

45.6k total events across all my sites.

I would have ended up paying $39/m ($470/yr) for the same if I would be using datafast.

But it costed me $0 on databull.app 👀

03Peak hours

When they visit, and when they pay.

Your week laid out hour by hour, in your time zone. DataBull outlines your busiest three hours, tells you when to post so you're there before the peak, and shows when buyers actually pay, which is often not when most people visit. Switch to Sales, and hover any hour.

04What they read

Which pages people actually read before they buy.

How far visitors scroll and how long they really read each page: time only counts while the tab is visible and someone is active. Buyers are set against everyone who didn't buy, so you see which pages do the selling. No setup, no new cookie. Pick a page.

06Readable Direct

No more mystery "Direct".

Most tools dump a big share of traffic into Direct. DataBull splits it into what actually happened, and names the in-app browsers that hide where a visit came from. Hover a row.

10AI agents & API

Ask your AI which post made you money.

Every install has a built-in MCP server. The same data is in your terminal and behind read-only API keys, with --json for scripts. Pick a question.

12Self-hosting

Your Cloudflare. Your data. One command.

DataBull deploys into your own Cloudflare account: a Worker serves the dashboard, the API and the tracking script, and a D1 database keeps your visitors and sales. Cloudflare's free plan covers most indie sites. No servers to babysit, nothing on our side to go down. Rather not run it? DataBull Hosted (beta) does it for you.

14FAQ

Questions

What does "self-hosted" mean?

DataBull runs on your own Cloudflare account. Visitors, sales and keys never touch our servers. Cloudflare's free plan covers most indie sites; very busy sites need the $5/month Workers plan, paid to Cloudflare, not us. Prefer not to run anything? DataBull Hosted (beta) runs it for you from $9 a month.

Which payment providers work?

Stripe, Polar, Dodo Payments and Creem. Each website connects its own account, so one site can be on Stripe and another on Polar or Creem. Past sales are imported, new ones arrive instantly by webhook.

Do I need to write code?

Not for analytics: one script tag, with guides for Next.js, Framer, Webflow, WordPress, Shopify and more, plus a prompt for Cursor or Claude Code. Payment links are tagged automatically. Only checkouts created by your server need two metadata fields.

I use DataFast. Is switching hard?

DataBull understands data-fast-goal attributes, window.datafast() calls and datafast_visitor_id checkout metadata, so most sites only swap the script tag.

What about cookies and GDPR?

Pick per website: first-party cookies (best attribution), fully cookieless (nothing stored in the browser, a daily-rotating salted hash), or cookieless until your banner reports consent. No data is ever sold or shared.

How is this different from Google Analytics or Plausible?

Those show traffic. DataBull starts from money: which post, search or referrer produced paying customers, and what they are worth over time.

Can I ask Claude or another AI agent about my numbers?

Yes. Every install has a built-in MCP server: run npx databull@latest mcp and Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Codex or Windsurf can answer "which post made me money this month?" from your own data. The same numbers are in the terminal (npx databull@latest stats) and behind read-only API keys. How it works.

Can I use it for client websites?

Yes. Unlimited websites, each connected to its own payment account.

What do I need to install it?

Node.js 22 or newer and a Cloudflare account (the free plan is fine). Run npx databull@latest, paste your license key, click Allow when Cloudflare asks, and your dashboard opens about three minutes later. See every step. With DataBull Hosted (beta) you install nothing: we set it up and email you the link.

Do I get the source code?

No. You get the complete, ready-built app: the installer deploys it to your own Cloudflare account and keeps it updated. It isn't open source, and the source code isn't included.

Self-hosted or hosted?

Self-hosted is one payment and runs on your own Cloudflare account: you install it with one command and own the setup. Hosted runs on ours, at yourapp.databull.app, from $9 a month: no Cloudflare account, nothing to install or update. Same app, same features.

Will the price go up?

No. $49 is the price for good: one payment, every feature and every future update. (The first 40 licenses were $29 at launch.)

Can I get a refund?

Self-hosted: no. All sales are final, because the license key and the full product are delivered the moment you pay. Try the live demo above, read the install guide, and email any question before you buy. If the installer gives you trouble afterwards, we'll help you get it running. Hosted is monthly: cancel anytime; the current month isn't refunded.

Find out which of your posts pay the bills.

One script, one payment connection, and you'll know by tomorrow.
